I must say these two artists have out done themselves. Protector 101 and Pertubator are artists that are signed to the same label Aphasia records. Their music is very synth related and particularly dark sounding. Pertubator has made his name known when it comes to the Dark synth sound. However I will do a blog post on both of these artists seperate in the future. But now the two have come together to create a masterpiece of a soundtrack that can bring us to all the fear or suspense of an 80's slasher film. They've been working on the project for 7 months and what an appropriate time to release it but here on Halloween week. The quality of the EP is incredible and the artists have taken the time to not just release this version that is high quality audio. They also have another copy of the EP entitled "The 80's Slasher EP (VHS edition) this is going to sound very grimy and really give a sense of nostalgic feel.
Happy Halloween everyone!

HAHAHA! I still have some laserdiscs! (sigh) I'm such a geek.
ReplyDeleteThe song in the beginning of the video reminded me of the music in the movie "Drive." I don't know if you've seen it, but the soundtrack is definitely inspired by the 80s.
ReplyDeleteNo I havn't yet my sister told me I couldn't watch it without her but its becoming very hard to wait haha but yes the artist that created alot of the 80's sounding music in the film is Kavinsky. but did you enjoy the movie?
DeleteThey certainly got the sound down, and even the cover art is pretty sweet.
